Campaign 2006 Minimize
Easter Care Packages for Chaplains and Military Personnel
In 2007 the Fort Health and Rehab Center (430 Wilcox, Fort Atkinson) cosponsed the campaign. Many of the residents decorate boxes and pack the items in the care packages. The nursing home residents cut out paper hearts that are used for notes to the service men and women. We also have  greeting cards from the residents.

In the picture, Ruth holds a Have A Heart collection box. With her are Rocky, Camille, Amber, and Mark Droegemueller.

The LCMS World Mission Ministry to the Armed Forces has prepared a suggested list of personal care items, foods/snacks, and other useful items. The Have A Heart ministry has condensed this into our Shopping List for 2007.

The LORD has blessed us in 2007! Three merchants in Fort Atkinson (K-Mart, Shopko and Walgreens) agreed to host our shopping days. Volunteers  in these stores gave out shopping lists and collected the purchased items.

Donations from the Shopping List were also be delivered to Fort Health and Rehab Center (430 Wilcox, Fort Atkinson) or Peace Lutheran Church (1661 Janesville Ave, Fort Atkinson).

The Have A Heart campaign is open to anyone who wishes to participate. Have a Heart! Volunteer to help with this campaign. We need you to:
1. Hand out shopping lists.
2. Buy and collect items for the care packages.
3. Pack boxes.
4. Gather names of men and women in the military to receive a package.
5. Address the special mailing labels.
6. Decorate the boxes.
7. Take the care packages to the post office.
8. Give a monetary donation to Have A Heart Ministry of Peace Lutheran Church.
9. Pray for our men and women in the Armed Forces.

If you would like to volunteer, please call Peace Lutheran Church at (920) 563-8050 or email the church office or Mark Droegemueller.

If you have a friend or a member of your family that you would like to receive a Have A Heart Easter Care Package, please give us the APO or FPO address. You may contact Peace Lutheran Church at (920) 563-8050.

Monetary donations are gratefully accepted. Please make checks payable to Peace Lutheran Church/Have A Heart.

We thank the LORD for the blessings of life, liberty, and peace. Have a heart. Give from the heart. Pray from the heart. Help to send a care package to thank the men and women who serve in the Armed Forces of our country for their courage and sacrifice to protect our country. May our gracious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ bless our efforts, bless our country, and bless our men and women in the military.
