God is the giver of life and the only one who can take it away. From the moment of conception, the child in the womb is not merely a fertilized mass of tissue, a zygote, or a fetus, but a person known by God (Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 139:13-16, Luke 1:39-43).

Abortion is not the removal of unwanted tissue, but the killing of a person. We teach that abortion is sinful and is not a moral option, except as a tragically unavoidable result of medical procedures necessary to prevent the death of the child or the mother. We teach that women who are considering abortion should be lovingly helped to give birth. If the mother or father cannot raise the child, we would encourage adoption.
